How to describe an event in the past

I remember my first day at the primary school, 7 years ago. It was a very good day, it was a memorable day.

First, I saw a lot of people in the school and I was scared and nervous. At 9 o'clock the class begins and I was very happy. After that I went to the playground to play basketball with my new friend, her name was Ferran. Then we returned to the classes to paint and study the numbers.
