q2A sorcerer in New York, Balthazar Blake played by Nicolas Cage, has to defend the city from the evil magician Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar needs help, so he asks Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel) to be his apprentice. Balthazar teaches Dave the art and science of magic, and the two must work together to stop the forces of darkness. But Dave will need a lot of courage just to survive his training.
